True Love world premiere at Sci Fi London has been a memorable experience. Watching the movie together with an audience made us understand better what kind of (controversial) reactions our movie can provoke. We hope to have soon the chance to describe better that fantastic night.

In the meantime, Mercurio Domina’s first production,  MyShoes (written and directed by Elisa Resinaro and produced by  Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro), will be screened saturday evening in Milan, at the  Milano International Film Festival, where it’s nominated for “Best Italian Production” in the short movie section.

Besides, the short has been selected for the  Cinema City Film Festival of Novi Sad, Serbia.

And don’t forget that  MyShoes is available on the digital platform  Mubi.com.

Fabio & Fabio recently directed the new Sky promo for the I-Race initiative , which is about a virtual path that starts from Rome and sees London as the final destination.

For a curious case, London is also the first, important destination of the long path behind the realization of the indipendent feature  film “True Love”. 

Tomorrow is in fact the worldwide premiere day of the movie at the  British Film Institute in Londra, in occasion of the Sci Fi London Film Festival. 

There’s a lot of excitement and a bit of nervousness for an entire team that worked so hard and so professionally, without any kind of stop, with a micro budget in their hands, but with a passion so strong that worked as an endless and powerfull fuel.

The true love of these people, many of which are going to be present at the screening, is the love towards moviemaking. And this love gave birth to a creature, a movie, that now is going to be seen from an actual audience, and it’s going to be judged, loved, hated, analyzed.

We aim to provoke some emotion, some thought into the minds of whoever will see the movie. We hope that every spectator will go through a little journey thanks to our project.

And we love to think that London will be for us the beginning of a new journey.

After 7 days of streaming for free on  Mubi.com , MyShoes becomes permanently part of the site’s library.

In the meantime, a new selection and a new competition: the short movie produced by Fabio&Fabio will attend the  Milano International Film Festival 2012 , challenging other movies for the  ”Best italian production” award.

Thanks to a partnership between the Rome Independent Film Festival and the  cinema online portal Mubi.com, short movies and feature lenghts from  RIFF are available  in streaming for the entire run of the festival.

Therefore…for only 6 days, you can watch  MyShoes, the short movie written and directed by Elisa Resinaro and produced by Fabio&Fabio, that also is the first official production from Mercurio Domina.

It is not in HD, ok, but hey, it’s for free.  On your computers, and your PS3 and Xbox systems.

Last time that  True Love has been screened in a theatre, it was here:

at the European Film Market in Berlin, for an audience made of potential buyers and distributors.

3 weeks from today, True Love will be screened here:

at the British Film Institute of London, during the Sci Fi London Film Festival events.

And this time the audience in the theatre will be made of common spectators…the first real audience for our movie.

On the festival website we found this paragraph:

“If you like your sci-fi tense, claustrophobic, dramatic and a little bit sinister, then this is for you. Maybe not the ideal date movie, but there is romance amongst the pain and suffering.”

Could this be considered the first official mini-review of the movie?

After  the European Independent Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, Skepto Film Festival  and Rome Independent Film Festival selections, here it comes another one –  Visionaria Film Festival, that will take place in Italy ( Piombino, Tuscany) from April 14th to  21st.

For MyShoes, first production from Mercurio Domina before the feature movie  True Love, this is the 16th festival selection (including an award at I’ve Seen Film Festival headed by Rutger Hauer, whose jury includes dudes like Ridley Scott and Paul Verehoven… …)

Finally, the first official festival selection for our movie has arrived. It’s the  SCI FI LONDON 2012, that will take place in London from 1st to 7th of May.  

True Love will be screened on the 4th, and we can’t wait to witness the reactions of the first audicence that will watch our movie in a theatre… 

We’ve got two new important selections for  MyShoes…in its double media format.

The short movie, written&directed by  Elisa Resinaro and produced by Fabio&Fabio, has been selected for the prestigious  Nashville Film Festival.

The music video for the title track,  directed by  Guaglione and Resinaro, has been selected for the  Skepto International Film Festival (that will take place in Cagliari, Italy).

The first two official production from Mercurio Domina continue their successfull path, waiting for the  big one, “True Love”…

On Saturday 10th March, at the “K” Library in Pescara – Italy, the sci fi short movies written and directed by Fabio&Fabio will be screened. Together with them, the Backstages and MyShoes, first production of Mercurio Domina, will be screened too.

After that, a Q&A meeting with the authors.

The short movie directed by Elisa Resinaro and produced by  Fabio&Fabio has been selected for  the ECU – European Independent Film Festival 2012 (Paris) and  Rome Independent Film Festival (Rome).

So, two more prestigious Festivals for the first little production by Mercurio Domina. Let’s celebrate on  these notes…
